Marty Moroski is a graduate of Stanford University (B.A. 1976) and Hastings College of the Law (J.D. 1980). He is a partner and co-founder of Adamski Moroski Madden Cumberland & Green LLP. Mr. Moroski is rated AV® Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer review rating given to attorneys based on legal ability and ethical standards. The focus of his law practice is civil litigation and trials in matters arising out of business, contract, employment, fiduciary, real property and intellectual property disputes. Mr. Moroski's more interesting trial experiences include:
- Co-tried for defendant annuity company one of the first class action cases to be tried in San Luis Obispo County;
- Obtained defense verdict for the employer, a winery, in high profile sex discrimination case;
- Successfully defended local Harbor District in jury trial of complex 'bet the district' contract case brought by two commercial lessees;
- Obtained defense judgment on complaint and recovery on cross-complaint for family farming operation in contract, fraud and trade secret case;
- Successfully defended punitive damages phase ($0 punitives awarded after special finding of malice) in dual sex harassment case;
- Obtained defense judgment on nonsuit motion for owner of area's leading wine industry compliance firm in a contract and trade secret action;
- Obtained defense judgment after a jury trial for a public utility in wrongful termination case brought by harasser; and
- Was a member of plaintiff's trial team in record-setting (at the time) case involving cyber-theft of domain name sex.com.
After graduating from law school, Mr. Moroski worked as an associate for Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold in San Francisco. In 1984, he moved to San Luis Obispo, a community to which his family has ties dating back to the early 20th century. Mr. Moroski joined the law firm Sinsheimer, Schiebelhut & Baggett, where he became a partner in 1987. In 2001, Mr. Moroski formed Adamski Moroski LLP, which has become Adamski Moroski Madden Cumberland & Green LLP.
Mr. Moroski is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of California and the San Luis Obispo County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in California. Mr. Moroski has enjoyed his Martindale-Hubbell peer rating of AV® Preeminent for over 15 years.
Mr. Moroski lives in San Luis Obispo with his wife Diane (Hastings, 1982), who is currently a licensed real estate agent and the President of Festival Mozaic, the County's premier classical music festival. His daughter, Rachel, graduated from Cal Berkeley and is entering her third year of law school at University of San Francisco. Mr. Moroski's son, Martin, is a recent honors graduate of University of Washington.
Mr. Moroski is a student of Matsubayashi Shorin Ryu karate (American Shorin Ryu Federation) and holds the rank of fourth degree black belt. He is a member of the Marin Athletic Foundation Hall of Fame.
